MS. BRANCH is a founding member of the firm. Tanya’s approach has centered on aggressive and effective resolution of simple and complex claims involving premises, auto and construction-related lawsuits for general liability and casualty insurance companies and self-insured property owners and managers.
Over the years, Tanya has been retained to defend claims involving: Ownership, management, and vendor services and operations of residential and commercial buildings and properties; security company liability; claims involving construction accidents and defects, inclusive of New York Labor Law claims; indemnity and insurance procurement issues associated with third-party personal injury and property damage claims, motor vehicle liability and product liability defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Tanya was an associate with a law firm that defended the New York City Housing Authority and New York City Transit Authority in personal injury and property damage claims. Today, Tanya leverages these experiences to discern the implications and underlying causation issues that create claim defense opportunities.
Tanya has obtained hundreds of excellent outcomes for clients, including dozens of defense verdicts, and excellent settlement resolution and mediation results. By carefully reviewing the claim, Tanya identifies the exposure, risk and resolution options and, with the client, chooses the best cost-effective resolution strategy, including zealously trying cases to verdict. Tanya also provides clients with training and education programs focused on risk management and litigation planning.
Tanya was born in New York City. She attended NYC public schools and Binghamton University. In 1994, she received her J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. In 1995, she was admitted to practice law in New York State and Federal Courts.
