SEAN BURKE, associate

Mr. BURKE maintains a practice in general liability defense focusing on premises liability cases, automobile/trucking accidents and other negligence claims. Sean is admitted to practice before the New York and New Jersey Courts. Prior to joining Brody & Branch, Sean worked for an insurance defense firm where he handled a wide range of cases involving automobile policies, focusing on personal injury as well as defending property damage and no-fault claims. Sean began his legal career as a bodily injury adjuster for the second largest insurer of commercial automobiles in New York City before becoming an associate for the carrier’s in-house counsel.

Sean obtained his Juris Doctorate from the City University of New York School of Law. During law school, Sean was a student practitioner in the CUNY Law Defenders Clinic where he represented indigents clients from arraignment to disposition. Also, Sean was a staff member of the New York City Law Review for two years and also served as a research assistant to two professors while attending CUNY, Sean completed his undergraduate degree at New York University, majoring in History and is an avid reader of U.S. history in his spare time. Mr. Burke is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
