CODY BRITTAIN, associate

Mr. BRITTAIN is committed to providing high-quality representation to his clients concentrating on general liability defense on behalf of national insurance carriers and private commercial clients. At the firm, Cody has defended negligence claims including premises liability, negligent security and claims that have risen under Civil Right Act Section 1983. Prior to joining Brody & Branch, he worked for a well-established insurance defense firm in New York City. There, he devoted the majority of his practice to investigating and defending against fraudulent claims submitted to insurance carriers ensuring the expeditious and favorable resolution of these cases.

Cody obtained his Juris Doctorate from Cardozo Law School, Yeshiva University. He prepared himself for a career in litigation by taking a practice-oriented course load and graduating with a Certificate in Litigation. He also served as Editor to two law journals: Real Estate Reporter and Cardozo Journal of Law & Gender. Cody obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin graduating with a dual major in English and Government. While in Austin, Cody regularly contributed to the student newspaper, The Daily Texan.
